INSTRUCTIONS FOR GUL ECOLITE SOLAR POWERED WATCHES
Functions: Analogue time and date.
Setting the time: Pull the crown all the way out. Adjust the hands to correct time.
Setting the date: Pull the crown half-way out. Adjust to correct date.
Advance the hands 12 hours if the date shifts at 12 AM.
Battery: Light is transformed to energy by the solar cells on the watch face. The energy is
stored in a secondary battery, which does not contain quicksilver or cadmium. Under normal
use the battery does not need to be changed.
Battery charging: Any kind of light will charge the battery; charge time depends on the
strenght of the light source. To fully charge an empty battery takes approx 3 hrs in direct
sunlight. Do not expose the watch to tempetratures exceeding 60 C/140 F when charging. The
battery cannot be overcharged. The watch will run for appox 6 months on a fully charged
battery.
Insufficient charge warning: The second hand moves in two-second intervals when the
charge level is low. It resumes normal running after the battery has been charged again. If the
watch has stopped completely because of lack of battery power, the second hand will move
irregularly after charging. This is to indicate that the set time should be adjusted. After that
the running will be normal.
